Alongside the novels, I write poems, flash fiction and short prose. Some of it is a break from the books. Some of it is where the ideas for the books start.
Most of it comes back to the same places: family, memory, illness, Irish folklore, and the west of Ireland weather that gets into everything.
My poems have featured in The Soliloquist and Fresh Words, with more forthcoming in Spilled Ink's Samhain anthology. My stories have featured in Ring of Culture and Flash Phantoms, with more forthcoming in Ragaire.
